February 2024 Update on WishMerge

At the end of December 2023, we began a trial run of our innovative product, which featured a cryptocurrency payment option. By the start of January, we had officially registered our business in the United States, securing banking partnerships with both Mercury Bank and Stripe. For the time being, we've put a hold on cryptocurrency transactions, and it's still up in the air whether we'll bring this option back. Our foremost priority remains to adhere strictly to legal standards and regulations, aiming to reduce any potential risks to the bare minimum. Consequently, we had to halt our use of the cryptocurrency processor and block transactions from countries on the U.S. sanctions list. A major project we've undertaken is the integration of Stripe's payment services. Within our platform, Stripe handles the financial contributions made to wishes, and after our evaluation, wishmakers must link their WishMerge accounts with Stripe to access their funds. This task is intricate and requires careful attention, taking up a significant amount of time to implement correctly. We're hopeful to wrap up the testing phase and officially roll out WishMerge by early March, with the goal of bringing in an expanded audience. In parallel, we're also enhancing various UI and UX elements, which we plan to introduce after we've completed the Stripe integration.
